    We just wanted to take a minute to thank you guys for the amazing job that you did on our Radiant Barrier installation and how much we love the product. Our only regret is not having it installed sooner.

    Our house was completed in November of 2006. The first summer in our home we had issues with our air conditioning and the motor in our forced air unit, actually, burned out and we had to have it rebuilt. At that time, we realized that the ventilation in the attic was inadequate and we installed a gable vent fan. The repairman told us that our attic temperature was roughly 150*.

    The following summer, we began having the same air conditioning issues. It was suggested that we install roofline vents, so we did. This seemed to help slightly, but we continued to have issues during the hottest points of the summer. In the summer of 2010, we again had issues at which point the motor on the forced air unit burned out, again, and had to be replaced. We have been at our wits end ever since, trying to come up with a solution.

    After speaking with Greenhome Specialties in July of 2013, we decided that Radiant Barrier might be the solution we had been looking for. We had the product installed in August, just as the hottest days of the summer came upon us. It was the first time since building our house that we were able to maintain a comfortable temperature in our house. We have one room in particular that was like walking into a sauna. About a week after we had the product installed, we found that there was no difference in the temperature in that room than in any room in the house. It probably cooled that room by about 10*-15*

    An additional bonus of installing Radiant Barrier came about five months later when we received our electricity and natural gas bills. We have always been on an even-pay program with our utilities and they reassess our usage every six months. Much to our surprise, our usage had improved so much that we were able to skip an entire payment with each utility. We continue to see our usage lower than the comparative month last year.

    The expense that we put out up front was well worth the return that we have seen so far. Thank you so much!

    Late last year, my Husband Bill and I, made quite a few upgrades to our home in regards to comfort and energy savings. We had all new double paned windows installed, then upgraded not only our ancient Furnace, but added central air as well. We used to have a Swamp Cooler, which would work okay if there was no humidity.

    Since we were unable to use the air conditioner, as it was installed in the late Fall, we had not been able to see how well it worked. Upon turning on the air conditioner this year, we noticed that it didn't seem to be cooling the house very well, except for the basement which is always cool to cold. After having the company who installed the unit check it a couple of times, they said it was working at maximum performance and there was nothing they could do to make the unit work better. Although, they did suggest insulation in the walls and attic. My husband had been hearing a talk radio host, Glen Beck, talk about Radiant Barrier / Greenhome Specialties and how well it works and helps keep the house cooler so the attic is not full of so much hot hair, which in turn makes it harder to cool the house.

    We decided to talk to Greenhome Specialties about this product and see how it would help and how much it would cost. After listening to the information, we decided that we wanted to get it installed. We also decided to get some insulation as well as the Radiant Barrier, as our attic had very little insulation.

    Since having the Radiant Barrier and insulation installed (about three weeks ago or so), we have noticed a drastic difference in how cool the house is. On even the hottest days, it stays very comfortable in the house and it doesn't seem like the air conditioner is constantly running to keep it at the desired temperature.

    We have been very glad that we made the decision to go with this product and the cost was very reasonable, as well as receiving rebates back from Questar and Thermwise, which help to offset some of the money invested. Also, our rebate paperwork was sent out in a very timely manner and was already filled out with most of the information needed, we just had to add our personal information.

    We would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to lower their monthly utilities and live in a cool and comfortable home.

    We installed Radiant Barrier heat shield by Greenhome Specialties in our attic and garage door and film on our windows this past October in Tooele. I just wanted to provide you some feedback on how satisfied we are with the product. For the past three months, we have used 38% less natural gas to heat our house when compared to the same time period last year. We also added 900 additional square feet to our home by finishing our basement in April 2012. Last year we were not heating our basement and we have kept our thermostats the same. I’m quite sure our savings would be even more if we didn’t have the basement finished. I am also tracking electrical usage but I don’t expect to see any difference till summer when we are running the AC. Thanks again for providing such great products.

    I first heard about Greenhome Specialties on a local radio program during my morning commute in late 2012. When I got my tax return in 2013, I decided I wanted to invest part of it in my home. After weighing a few options my wife and I decided that making our home more energy efficient was the best investment since it would continue to pay us back over time. Installation was quick and efficient. The work crew showed up on time, were very polite and respectful of our home and even vacuumed up the small amount of insulation that trickled out of the attic access onto the floor.

    As the summer months came on and the weather got hotter I began to notice that my central air conditioning seemed to be turning on less often. By that I mean the time between activation of the cooler was noticeably longer than it had been in summers past. I noticed that my electric bills were lower than the previous summer by comparing them against the previous years. But the big wow factor was over the winter. As with the A/C, I noticed my furnace came on less often, but I also noticed that I didn't feel cold and go and manually turn up the thermostat as I had in previous winters. The house seemed to stay more evenly heated. Then came my gas bill for February. It had a graph on it showing usage for the past 14 or 16 months and that was when I noticed that compared to the previous year, my daily usage had dropped by almost 1/3! Talk about over-delivering! I was thrilled to see that I was showing that much of an improvement in my gas bill.

    My experience was very positive and I'm very happy with the results.

    My name is Lola Dunn, and I purchased Radiant Barrier from GreenHome Specialties at the end of May. We are new home owners, and as summer was approaching, the temperature in our home was climbing every day. We have a lot of vertical space, so we found it would be so cold in the basement and way too hot upstairs, even with the AC going round the clock. Our electric bill was already seriously high in May, and I knew we had to do something. I got a call back right away to have someone meet with me. There was an amazing salesman who wasn’t intimidating or pushy at all! He was really just sharing an amazing product with me that was only going to save me money in the long run. Everything was explained in straightforward terms the whole time. It was like he just cared about getting my home to a wonderful comfort level. Installation was quick and painless, even when I was trying to manage and two year old and a napping newborn during the process. Not one sound! My home was not a construction site in the least.

    I seriously felt a difference in comfort within a day! The basement was still cool, and upstairs still warm, but I didn’t start to sweat just from walking up the stairs anymore! Also, our May electric bill ended up being higher than June and close to the same as July. I can’t even imagine what the cost this summer would have been without our Radiant Barrier and the extra insulation.

    These guys were so honest and really great to work with. I’d recommend even just seeing the presentation because it’s a product that is so so worth it, especially if you’re utility bills are high. We were lucky to find them.
